Diva On The Go: Tanisha- GG's Waterfront Bar and Grill

I went on a quick getaway with family to south Florida. On our last night, we went to GG's Waterfront Bar and Grill in Hollywood and I was totally blown away by this restaurant! We were actually heading to another restaurant and passed by this one on the way so we ended up going in. Something about this restaurant just called to me. There is only valet parking available, but it is only $6 so totally worth it.

The inside of the restaurant was beautiful but we decided to sit outside and OMG! We were so close to the water and the view was spectacular! Boats were passing by as we ate, the sound of the water set the ambiance and the sunset was gorgeous.

To drink, I had a grapefruit margarita which was really good! It has campari in it, which is a sort of spiced liquor, and that really added to the tartness of the cocktail. Totally my kind of drink!

Complimentary bread with a hummus dip was brought to the table to start. The hummus was very good and that says a lot coming from me since I'm not a huge fan of hummus...I don't love it but I don't hate it either. This hummus, however, was so tasty.

For my main, I had the beef short ribs and it was tender and full of flavor. It came with whipped potatoes, carrots and broccolini. I ate every bite...minus the carrots because yuck! Lol. My mom ordered the yellowtail snapper on a bed of coconut rice, which was one of the daily specials. I just had to take a picture of it - it was staring right at me 😄! It smelled divine and I was so tempted to taste it but I have a fish allergy. She absolutely loved her meal!

To finish off the meal, I ordered a cappuccino simply because I wasn't ready to leave but was too full for dessert. The cappuccino was served piping hot and was a perfect end to a perfect meal.

The service was impeccable. As is standard in most restaurants in south Florida, gratuity was already included in the bill at 18%, but our server was so good, I added extra tip to the bill - he absolutely deserved it!

I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant and I HIGHLY recommend it! I try to go to Miami at least once a year...I will absolutely go back to this restaurant!
