We made reservations at Jackson's Landing for a celebratory brunch for our friend's 40th birthday. Jackson's Landing is in south east Burlington, a few blocks north of Lake Ontario.

Restaurant Review

Atmosphere and Decor

The atmosphere was natural elements with an industrial vibe. One of the things that drew us to this restaurant was the endless mimosas and as you will see below, they did not disappoint!

Menu

Creativity

The mimosas were a great addition to our brunch.

They had 5 different options....orange, grapefruit, guava, soursop and passion fruit. Nadia was really feeling the soursop mimosa. The passion fruit was also a favorite, both Tanisha and Jenn loved the grapefruit.

Taste

Tanisha had the coconut lime mussels and she claims it was an explosion of flavor in her mouth.

Jenn was quite impressed with the fish tacos. The freshness of the ingredients and the flavors complimented each other really well.

Angie tried the avocado toast for the first time. It was tasty and given the hype with avocado toast, that had her feeling a little bougie.

Nadia had the naan chicken club and totally enjoyed it. The chicken was well marinated and hit the spot. The portion was a good size and wasn't overly filling. A nice late-lunch meal.

Service

Overall, the dining experience was a pleasant one but the only thing that slightly overshadowed that was the delay in service. Let's just say, the effects of the pandemic on the restaurant industry were felt.
