We decided to explore the Taste of Burlington this year, and Mythos was our restaurant of choice. Conveniently located in a plaza with plenty of parking, it made for a stress-free visit. While we were drawn to the special three-course prix fixe menu for the event, we opted to order from the regular menu instead.

Atmosphere

The restaurant, though not very large, is beautifully decorated with an elegant touch, featuring a stunning chandelier right in the center. While a reservation might not be necessary, it could be a wise choice to avoid waiting on a busy night. We ordered a bottle of Greek cabernet sauvignon for the table, which was dry yet remarkably smooth. For those who enjoy cabernet sauvignon, we would definitely recommend it.

Menu

Angie

I started my meal with the Chef's Dip, which was creamy with a spicy kick and a hint of saltiness. The pita it came with was fresh, hot, and perfectly charred, with a soft texture. Next, I tried the Baked Feta, which was crisp, sweet, salty, cheesy, flaky, and thin—an absolute delight. I also had the Greek Salad, but it wasn't my favorite; it was watery, and the dressing lacked flavor, leaving me a bit disappointed.

Overall, the food was good, but by the end of the meal, I was definitely cheesed out!

Tanisha

To start, I ordered aTzatziki Sauce with pita bread, which was absolutely scrumptious! The tzatziki sauce tasted homemade, it was fresh and full of flavour. It is made with yogurt, sour cream, cucumber, mint and garlic. I couldn't finish all of the tzatziki sauce, so I placed a to go order of the pita bread. It tasted even better the next day! Next up was a Spanakopita, which is a phylo pastry with spinach, onion and feta inside. This was a little too rich for me but it was very good. It came with two on the plate - perfect for sharing or as a solo treat. Lastly, I, of course, had a Greek salad...my only complaint is that i wanted more feta! It was that good! All in all, the food was tasty.

I was sorta in the mood for pasta so I ordered the GARIDOMAKARONADA

spaghetti which consisted of sautéed shrimp, mushroom, onion, baby spinach, kefalograviera cheese and parmesan creamy ouzo sauce. It also came with a side greek salad. Both were really good. I ended taking most of my pasta home so I could have it the next day lol.

Service

Our server was outstanding. He struck the perfect balance by checking in on us just enough without being intrusive. He was incredibly helpful and patient as we navigated the menu. Additionally, he was personable and entertaining, sharing interesting tidbits about Greek culture and the kefalograviera cheese featured in Nad's dish.
