Review #2 The Lake House

The Lake House is a little gem located right off the QEW Niagara in a peaceful town called Vineland. The Lake House is affordable fine dining and perfect for a night out with the girls or a date night.

Atmosphere and decor

The atmosphere and decor was nice, the restaurant was an old house that was newly renovated on the inside to match the clean and simple design. The restaurant is on the water and is surrounded by big windows so it made it nice and bright, so even without the lake view it was a nice atmosphere.

Menu

Creativity

There was some creativity with the pairings of the ingredients and some of the combinations that were used in the entrees. There wasn't a large variety in the menu, but this allowed the restaurant to focus on making each entrée delicious.

Taste

The food tasted great! Miss Angie got the pecan crusted salmon for the first time which kept her quiet the whole time she was eating, but don't worry, it didn't take her long to eat it, then she was right back to putting her two cents into everything. The dessert was cheesecake and it was so colorful, it was a delight to eat. Tanisha tried the lamb that was paired with chick peas, let's just say that was a match made in heaven.

Drinks

The drink selection was large and had a lot to choose from and the cocktails were pretty with garnishes.

Presentation

The presentation was nice, everything looked really good and carefully placed out. The portions were well sized and the food was hot and delicious.

Cost and Plate Value

For the set up and the food you are getting, the cost is amazing. The plate was full but still neat. Although it was definitely worth it, The Lake house is a mature setting and there isn't much on the menu for children.

The free mini dessert was a nice touch for the birthday girl.

Timing of food

The timing for the food was perfect, we could talk about how everyone was doing quickly before we got to stuff our mouths.

Politeness

Our waitress was very nice, and even with the amount of tables she oversaw, she was still very attentive and prompt with our service. We want to give a special shout out to Jake, he was very helpful and was a straight shooter.
