It's our anniversary and a Diva's birthday!

We ventured out to Margo in Toronto for brunch on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in September. This restaurant is located on the 4th floor of CLIO Toronto, which is a private social club on King Street West.

Atmosphere

The decor in this restaurant is outstanding. It is a photographer's/influencer's dream! There is a stunning display wall of flowers the moment you walk off the elevator...a great spot for a photo opp. We sat outside on the rooftop patio which was excellent as the sun was out to play on this beautiful fall day! The patio has yellow decor with palm trees throughout....it was definitely giving Miami vibes. Plus, the breeze on the rooftop was amazing!

Menu

Drinks

Angie started with a sparkling water, which wasn't sparkling enough for the extra 3 dollars it cost.... can you say, flat?

We ordered bottomless mimosas which costs $45 per person. The service was quite slow so we were able to indulge and take advantage of this feature. They had four different flavors to choose from and best believe we tried all. Plus, we wanted to ensure we had every last drop of the "$45 per person" mimosas the staff reminded us about over and over and over again!

Angie

I had the Muhammara spread . It was red pepper in a pomegranate molasses, I couldn't taste the pomegranate, it more like roasted red pepper with walnuts.

I had the eggs Benedict for the first time . It wasn't good or bad but I wouldn't order it again

Tanisha

The food was alright. I ordered bacon and eggs and enjoyed it. However, I ordered the eggs overhard and they brought it out runny twice before I got the correct order. They just could not get it right! This wasn't the best breakfast I have had, but it also wasn't the worst.

Nads

I had the fried chicken & waffles with pomegranate molasses which was different, to say the least.

Jenn

I ordered a simplistic breakfast of eggs and bacon that was accompanied by brioche toast and home fries. I was not a fan of the flavor and the bacon was slightly over cooked. The jam compote was the tastiest thing in the breakfast. The eggs were cooked to my request of over easy. The mimosas were the saving grace of the meal. The service, however, would be my biggest complaint about this restaurant....

Service

There seemed to be quite a bit of confusion amongst the staff. The service was good in that they had staff clearing the tables and bringing food out to assist the servers; however, as noted above, we were told the price of the bottomless mimosas more than once and our server kept reiterating that the price was per person. There was no need for this.

Our server was nice but the service was slow. The timing was also off in bringing the food, so much so that the mains came out while the appetizers were still on the table! Then, it took forever to get someone to come over just to bring us water.

The divas give this restaurant... 3 SNAPS
